3 ways to be a bring your bling to the wedding!

Are you a bling bling bride? Or just looking for that little touch of sparkle for your wedding outfit? From Swarovski to diamonds, any set of clear crystal accessories can add that much needed hint of elegance and glamour to your big day. Going after the "bling" can become quite pricey if you are on a budget, however if you look at the right places, they may only be $10 (or $1000000 if you want!).

With so many "bling" accessories out there, it can become an impossible task to choose ones which are subtle enough yet still expressive at the same time; too much bling may come off as tacky to some (but still remember, it’s your day, if you love it, go for it Miss Sunshine!). Need some inspiration? Have a look down below!

To carry or not to carry? It’s up to you, but your maid of honour would probably end up holding your clutch most of the time anyway! However, if you find that you do need one (and some of us do like having our essentials with us 24/7), whether you want the full bling diamante look or just that little something something, the choices are endless!

The brand Tom Ford says it all for lavishness, and their Crystal Ring Clutch is nothing short of that. If you’re after something a little more floral and subtle, or you’re on a tighter budget, Forever New’s Enchanted Sparkle clutch is one you can consider. For those that want a statement piece, then the Dolce and Gabbana multi floral clutch will definitely be a stand out (and perfect if you’re into florals!).

Bling it on!

Diamonds are forever, crystals show us the future; there’s no need to compromise on these gems! If you’re the princess that has it all, look no further than Louis Vuitton’s Dentelle de Printemps necklace; classy, detailed and all around perfection. If Camellias are your favs or the main flowers at your wedding, who could go past Coco Chanel and her eternal love for these gorgeous flowers? Chanel's Camellia diamond necklace is just simply stunning.

Not into classical designs? Alexander McQueen’s Swarovski Choker is definitely one for those who are looking for something beautiful yet strikingly distinguished. Also, Noor Fares wing shaped diamond and mother-of-pearl earrings are actually made using an Ancient Egyptian technique, how cool!

A pair of crystal embellished shoes can do no wrong! Even if they might be covered by your long bridal gown, if someone sees a peek, you want these babies to sparkle in their eyes wouldn’t you? As Mr. Louboutin says (and yes how could we miss the red soles, the stunning pair in the top left is by him), “a woman carries her clothes, but the shoe carries the woman.”   Miss bride-to-be, we might as well go all the way with your shoes!

If you can strut it in high heels, the choices are endless. Sergio Rossi’s platform sandals are perfect if you’re after the extra height or that white satin look to match with your gown. Want something a little bit more distinguished? Don’t be afraid to go black; check out how classy those Giorgio Armani Swarovski pumps look!

If you’re after something a bit more comfortable, then shorter block heels may be more suitable; Rene Caovilla’s crystal-embellished silver sandals are just as elegant as many higher heeled shoes.

Let’s face it, most of us were probably already in love with diamonds and crystals before reading this! Anyway, good luck choosing! There’s no need to overly stress, cherish and enjoy all the shopping you have to do for your big day, it’s your chance to splurge!

Top 8 Easy diet tips for brides

Want to look and feel the best on your wedding day? Yes, I’m going to say it, you are what you eat! We all know it may be hard for some of us to keep on top of those crazy dramatic diet plans and a workout schedule that just doesn’t gel with your social life.

So this week we’ve put together a few small healthy tips that you can easily slip into your weekly eats and can still make a difference!

1. Eat a grapefruit

Some of us love it, some of us hate it. However, researchers have found that drinking grapefruit juice, or eating half a grapefruit daily, can lower the amount of weight gained when eating fatty foods. Although the reason isn’t truly clear yet, it may because grapefruit has insulin controlling properties, making us feel less hungry.

2. Eat some papaya

Papayas are full of the enzyme Papain, which means they’re great at aiding the digestion of proteins! If something breaks down food faster, it usually means it can also help you have a flatter belly and prevent bloating as well.

3. Beetroot salads!

Beetroots are one of the ultimate detoxifying vegetables as they’re packed with vitamins (A, B6, C), as well as manganese and potassium. Also, they’re one of the richest sources of glutamine; an enzyme that is essential for a healthy intestinal tract. Don’t forget about the leaves too, many of the nutrients are in there!

4. COOL AS cucumbers

If you find it hard to do the other things, cucumbers are super convenient and super healthy! It’s low in calories, and high in water content and fibre. This means they’re very effective in getting rid of toxins in your body. Why not add a few slices into your salad next time?

5. Add a little apple cider vinegar

Many people swear by it, and if you’re looking for something really easy (although the taste might be off putting at first), this one might be for you! Along with its detoxifying qualities, it can also prevent excessive water retention and make you feel less hungry. You can add this to your salads or drinks, or inhale a few teaspoons of it if that’s easier.

6. Eat your way to a fish glow

Nearly all types of fish are packed with essential fatty acids, omega 3 and are full of protein. Oily fish are an essential if you want lustrous, flowing hair, and glowing skin. Also, they support healthy cell membranes which can prevent harmful substances from damaging cells in your body.

7. Beware of cauliflowers, broccolis and Brussels sprouts

Take caution when consuming cruciferous vegetables that includes cauliflowers, broccolis and Brussels sprouts. Not saying you shouldn't eat them at all (they are very nutritious!), but it may be a good idea to switch to other vegetables (such as asparagus) just before the wedding as these may cause you to have a bloated belly, and your guests may be smelling something a little less pleasant than your flowers. This is because they're full of cellulose, a sugar which our digestive system can struggle with; cooking them beforehand however can greatly help break them down.

8. Avoid "sugar-free" junk food

Think again when choosing the sugar free alternative of drinks, sweets, or foods. Artificial sweeteners are incredibly hard to digest and can leave you very bloated. Although it’s better to avoid sweets altogether, if you must (and sometimes we all do!), the natural choice is the better one.

Your diet can be vital in helping you look and feel amazing on your dream day, but it may only be half the equation if you want the perfect body; exercising and many other factors can be just as important. Stay beautiful!
